syrup
Thank you syrup. ps. Where was Cowley Hill? Cowley Hill, Is the road from Chapletown up to where the M1 Motorway is now, but as you know at the dates we are looking at it may have been the main road from Chapletown to Rotherham passing through Thorpe Hesley which would possibly have passed the front door of the Travellers Public House which at that time would have been part of Thorpe Hesley. ( Perhaps our map experts could confirm this ? )

Now RichardS has been doing some sterling work and is interested ... as for what's next, a break, then 1923 and onwards or the big outstanding issue (I've been hiding from this for years) splicing the beerhouses into the A-Z pubs - because they belong together - you are, of course welcome to your life back - for a while that is. he he

It doesn't really matter that your own list is behind does it, you can always do that in your own good time. Notice I didn't say SPARE time, [ what's that? ] Hand on heart, I think I owe a lot of effort to the Beerhouse lists and getting them combined with the Pubs, I can honestly say I don't even know which is my latest beerhouse list, or indeed, when I last looked at it - couple of years maybe ? To me, it might serve as a "new start" on the topic allowing the Pubs to fade away for a while - don't know about you but five years on one topic and my eyes tend to glaze over with over familiarity - your input/effort is always refreshing but I personally could do with forgetting the whole lot existed for a while. I make best effort to put input into as many topics as I can, it's all getting a little too much <Whinge><Moan>. I look forward to the completion of your up to 1922 efforts - it's been a long, strange trip "Quicksilver Messenger Service, if memory serves).
