ukelele lady
Heres some named ones from White's 1845 (inc some new ones??): Dean William, beerhouse, Ball, Hillfoot This one is not the Oborne Street one as we have a name for the 1845 keeper. J. Garner. I can only think it's the Blue Ball Hillsborough. Just out of interest we have a William Dean in 1852 at the Bayhorse 46 Upper St Philips Road

It must take a MASSIVE amount of research and effort. As an innocent bystander I find it bewildering. Hang on, I'm one of them trying to get my head around it ... have been for years (not as long as Trefcon and his remarkable Sheffield WWI work but still longer than it took to get a University Degree) ... still not much closer to enlightenment ! St Philips Tavern, I have Richard Brinnen, 228 St Philip's Road in 1845; also 1846 when Richard's address seems to be 92 St Philips Road. Probably all one and the same with John Burgin having the place before Richard.
