My great Aunt Ethel, sometime headteacher of All Saints school, and her brother Captain Walter, a sales manager at Firth Brown,, lived in a large house on ,Abbeyfield Road. Pre War I am told they had servants and as a young boy in 1940s post war Sheffield ,coming from the Brushes Council estate I was impressed with milk in delicate jugs, sugar in a glass dish and jam not being in a jar but also in a glass dish!1 point
