ukelele lady
What about ******, will PM answer at this early stage I thought Stuart would be be the first on this one. It seems we visit the same area. There's no date on the brickwork in the picture but there is a date on the side of the building. I got the PM but you didn't put where it is but I'm sure you're right.

ukelele lady
Looks like AD 1914 to me ? Yes I can see that now AD 1914 but up the site of the building it says founded in 1854. I thought I once posted the picture onto the date stones thread but it must still be in the camera.
Guest bus man
While we are on a roll, where will you find this, and what did they used to call the building. The building has a different name now (well I sure its different) it used to be the car sales place on sulfolk road oposite the B&C funeral place its now a block of flats its near leadmill both the night club and the old bus depot

Is that a clue to the answer Maybe the 1914 was added at a time of alteration, It's unusual to see dates cut into red brick.

vox
Opposite way round. View from an attic window of a house I was working in yesterday From the positions of the obvious buildings, can you work out more or less where I was? Still outstanding. Couldn't anyone get any nearer than 1/2 mile away?? I know I said more or less, but 1/2mile is like saying the City Hall is near Midland Station. (Which, I must admit, it would be if you were in Portugal at the time) lol

Waterside Echo
A new one this is very very very very easy If you had posted this picture 50 years ago, and going on the state of the track side, you would think it was taken in a third world country. Mind you , perhaps in a few years time that could be true. W/E.

Mind you , perhaps in a few years time that could be true. W/E. It could be the tunnel from the TV series "The Last Train" (see thread in Sheffield films topic) That would explain why it looks like a third world country.
