RichardB Posted November 26, 2010 Share Posted November 26, 2010 Dec 20 1811 The roof of St Paul's Church, Sheffield, was this afternoon discovered to be on fire owing to the stove being overheated. It happened during divine service, but, happily was not known to the congregation, otherwise the consequence might have proved dreadful.
