ukelele lady
Things must be bad, the Wig and Pen closed? After all these years it has traded. Lack of custom they say well each time I've been in it's been pretty full. I enjoyed their meals too, I once had the best warm goats cheese salad ever. What a shame to me it was one of the best central eating places. :(

When did it open and anyone any ideas about the history of the building please ?

They've extened it alot and the view from the upstairs restaurant over looking Paradise Square is superb. There's outside seating [or was ] at the back [Paradise Square } for the drinkers and in summer this was quite popular.
ukelele lady
Can anyone remember when the Wig and Pen changed to Shenanigan's? Was this just a drinkers pub then? I can't recall what year it changed back to the Wig and Pen but I know there were many complaints about the prices of their drinks.
