ukelele lady
It was nice to see the TV programme on the Dambusters last week, hosted by Martin Shaw. The Sheffield Star made a mention of this a few days before commenting on how they practised over the Ladybower Dam. The Sheffield Star should know better, the Ladybower Dam wasn't completed until 1943 and then it took two more years to fill it. WE all know it was the Derwent Dam as Guy Gibson says in his book. They also practised over the Dam Flask too and the telephone wires had to be taken down over the bridge for them to do so. I was once in a quiz where they asked " Which Sheffield Dam did the Dambusters do there practising " and the answer was........The Ladybower Dam :o
