It existed in 1900 Hiya Dora and Welcome, Bessemer Square laid between Washfoed Road, Faraday Road and Birch and Livingstone Roads. Bertha Street - list of residents Bessemer Place, Stevenson Road, Attercliffe (No thoroghfare) ... Bessemer Square ... Bessemer Road - list of residents So, looking at right up against Attercliffe Road end, between Birch Road and Trent Street. Directly opposite Lovetot Street. The bride was Laura Preen, a spinster aged 22 living at 10 Bessemer Square and the daughter of Thomas Preen, an edge-tool-maker. The groom was John William Ludbrook, a bachelor aged 22 and a miner living at 11 Buttys Lump and the son of John Ludbrook, a miner.
