DaveH
You mean this one ? Brilliant vox, You're getting too good at this photoshopping current Sheffield History post comments into pictures of Sheffield. Really enjoying the humour contained in them, much better than a seaside postcard lol
DaveH
No they were Swiss company directors visiting Germany as guests like we were. They told us they couldn't understand why the rest of the world were now saying Nestlay. Hey the topic is about the Ferodo bridge (whichever one that happens to be). I make a casual comment about the Milky Bar Kid and all of a sudden I get a fantastic response about if it is pronounced nes-els or nest-lay. Pity not all topics, especially those on a more serious local history theme, get similar responses. I have been trying for ages to provoke reply postings (especially from newer members / infrequent posters / post virgins) without much success. If it wasn't for the fact that its the same half dozen people replying I would be getting somewhere.

I just copied jiginc's spelling as literature and fiction are not a particular interest of mine I take it that it should be 1 R in Ferodo and 2 B's in Hobbit

Guest Danny
Being boring here I drove down this way on purpose last night to see the new bridge. Not as impressive as it's predecessor I must say. Green and very open plan. Makes it look very different. Sorry, I didn't to have time to stop and take a picture, my little girl needed to get home and be put to bed. Of I can manage to stop next time and get a picture for the thread, I will do. Dan

Dan The new bridge may well look plain and boring at the moment, I'll give it a couple of months before the graffiti artists move in. :)
