Does Blonk Island appear on any map?

I think the name is Sneesby rather than Sneesy Richard.

However, I have 2 cousins called Sneesby and one of them, having done a bit of family history and geneology told me that her Sneesby line (which I am not directly related to) were nearly all butchers by trade in Sheffield.

Sounds like this is one of her ancestors.

You are correct, my mistake.

Nice that we found someone related to someone ...

I am related to these cousins through my aunt, my mothers sister.

However, their father, my "uncle Fred" was Frederick Sneesby (1914 - 1976)

I would have to trace it back from there, but I am sure that my cousin already has.

I am also fairly sure from the unusual surname and the fact that she has said that that the family business was a local butchers that she will be related to the one in the Whites 1833 directory in some way.
