Dropout Posted March 10, 2020 Share Posted March 10, 2020 OLD THREAD. NEW POST. I have been wondering, does anyone know what became of Sheffield Boys and the structure? Does it still exist? I had two cousins and two schoolfriends, one Mark Smith, that played for Sheffield Boys under 14's or 15's at the same time, I think around 1974/5 time, perhaps earlier? What became ot that set-up? Lysanderix Posted October 30, 2022 Share Posted October 30, 2022 As I recall in the 1950s Firth Park Grammar School never allowed any pupil to play for Sheffield Boys. …they could play for Yorkshire but not their own City. I have no idea why…unless it was snobbery.One did ,a lad who had played for the school in goal.
