DaveH
Alexander Hotel 42 Jericho St Currently no known keepers so who is this guy Thomas ?????????? Looks like Thomas Cunliffe to me Thomas is the hard bit as it has been mis-spelt and overprinted. His wife appears to be Margaret. Not so sure about his sons first name though. Not so sure about his sons first name though. Difficult to read, Cunliffe I think also. BUT, you can add : Harry Barber, Grocer and beerhouse, 180 Hoyle Street & 42 Jericho Street (1911) Harold Davenport, Beerhouse, 42 Jericho Street (1919) and Harry Cawthorne, Beerhouse, 42 Jerich Street (1925) Bonus all round. DaveH
Same bloke, 1881 (easier to read !) That unreadable son must have been James then. Although by the time of this census he had quite a big family {unless the previous one just went on to the next page}
