10 February 1832

Signior Paganini first performed in a concert at the Music-Hail

10 February 1840 The Marriage of the Queen celebrated by a Soiree, at the Cutlers' Hall, a ball, and other entertainments. The same night, stacks belonging to Mr. Wm. Vickers, Firs hill; Miss Genn, Skinnerthorpe ; and Mr. Fearnley, of Norwood, were set on fire by incendiaries, and burnt.

William Prest died. Co-founder of Sheffield Football Club, one time captain of Yorkshire Cricket Club he was also involved in the formation of the Hallamshire rifles.
