Yes Jo was David's dad, I remember Joseph Fox when he was running the bottom pub on Park Hill flats, the Earl George? that would be sometime in the early 70's, and shortly after that he was at a pub on Duke Street, the Red Lion I think. On his retirement from the Licensing trade Joseph moved back to live in Heeley, and the Shakespeare (owned by his son David) became Joe's local pub.
