Waterside Echo
In the early days you entered the Magpie via a revolving door, this provided a great deal of entertainment when patrons a little over the top tried to leave as you can well imagine. Were there any other pubs in Sheffield with this type of entrance ? Incidentally,as it has closed again there is talk of South Yorkshire Police buying it and converting it into a police station. W/E. Better use than converting to a church like they did on the Norfolk Park, bring policing back to the community, might help :)

I.m sure that when they built that rent office on Park Grange Road between the Fellbrigg and the school for the mentally disabled they put extra security in to avoid it being robbed. Now if the Fellbrigg was a police station they would have their security right next door. lol

After opening back up a couple of times in the last year or so, it now seems its days as a pub are over. Rumour has it that it will be opening as a Indian restaurant. W/E.
