hilldweller
Back in the 1970's/80's the Cobden View pub in Crookes used to have a print hanging in the back room that I thought was very evocative of the Sheffield of my childhood. It showed a view taken from Myrtle Road bridge looking up Prospect Road with a long terrace of houses running up Prospect Road and a short terrace of about 5 houses running across the picture sloping down to the river and railway. Does anyone know where the original of this painting is displayed or where I can obtain a print ? From memory it was painted in darker colours and reminded me of many such scenes in Sheffield.
