RichardB Posted September 17, 2009 Share Posted September 17, 2009 The 1st (Hallamshire) Volunteer Battalion, The York and Lancaster Regiment moved to Hyde Park barracks (listed in White as Hyde Park, St. John’s Road) in 1883, where they remained until 1914. In 1908 the Hallamshires were redesignated 4th (Hallamshire) Battalion, the York and Lancaster Regiment TF.
