roy1942 Posted September 15, 2009 Share Posted September 15, 2009 I am trying to obtain a photo of the crane that operated on the canal below tinsley/halfpenny bridge, the crane used to unload coal using a clamshell bucket system. The coal was brought in by barge [possibly waddingtons] I think it was then transported by conveyer belt to blackburn meadows power station, I watched it operate in the 1950s.
