madannie77
A bit too much of a clue. The former St Lukes National School building Garden Steet, latterly William Whiteley & Sons. Google Streetview shows it covered in scaffolding 'so it's probably going to converted into yet more flats, although the firm seems to have an active website with no mention of the address. HD Apparently they have moved to Rother Valley. Indeed it is St Lukes National School. I thought the clue was a bit too easy, but everything else I thought of seemed too obscure to be of any help. As it looked on 18th August: rather more to be seen than in Google streetview.

I thought it was the archaeology building on West Street, but the triangle housing the clock was the wrong size, and that clock was blue, not green. . ah well. ukelele lady
Here's another one from someone who is always clock watching. As these clock mysteries need a wind up here's a clue. . . . Blue clock in a red light area.

You have just given away what is "dodgy" about this mystery clock #16, it's in a red light district :o
ukelele lady
Back to the mystery clocks. No prizes for guessing where this is but it does get the visitors a little confused when they are going home after a few drinks.

Don't know where this particular one is but we have a clock just like that in one of our physics labs at school. Great for generating discussion about the direction of time, time travel and Einsteins famous theory of relativity.

Guest skeets
Correct it is not a railway clock, but nearest rail line is just 300 yds away. Steve l do not know where it is, but it is either the old double faced clock or a replica that used to be on the corner of the old Midland station . skeets

Guest skeets
No, its not another of my collection of miniature clocks, - some of which I have made myself. It is a real clock, - could be considered by some to be a bit dodgy. Is it Firth Park Library skeets
DaveH
What next ! Not one but two dodgy clocks, and in a very well known location. Where are they? Don't know where they are exactly but it obvious what is dodgy about them. They aren't telling the same time are they ...and due to their positioning they probably share a common drive mechanism. DaveH
What next ! Not one but two dodgy clocks, and in a very well known location. Where are they? I'm losing track of this now. I think Steve's clock is officially MYSTERY CLOCK #18 in this topic. The anticlockwise clock would have been #17 but I forgot to number it. I've seen these somewhere and was going to post but thought it would be too easy. Now I've forgot where I saw them unless it was when I drove on Dooley Way near the bottom of the Parkway. ??? Here is a wider view.

hilldweller
Spot on HD, one time Hepworths the Taylors, now 'next' I'm digressing slightly but does anyone remember a Mackeson or Guinness clock that used to be situated on top of a building a little way down Fargate. It was above the building that housed Thomas Cook or thereabouts. HD
