Guest Trefcon Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 This the site of Ecclesfield Pinfold, a place to put loose 'beast's, return of which you had to pay a fine. It is called simply the 'Pound' on Godfery map of Ecclesfield. The cottage attached to the 'Pound' bears this date stone, there is also a Blue Plaque noting the site of the Pinfold.
