RichardB
HUNTER'S HALLAMSHIRE A reading copy of the FIRST EDITION of 1819. It lacks the Frontis & Title Page but otherwise is complete. It is rather workman like bound in plain dark blue semi shiny cloth with bright marbled endpapers setting it off rather well. The dedication leaf is grubby but internally it is in reasonable condition the pages are white and the text clear there is the occasional age browning spot in the text pages the plates are more so affected but the main topographical ones are reasonable ok. There is staining down from the top edge to about 50mm at its worst and this shows more on the plates than the text pages. The mark is still well away from the images however. A very acceptable reading copy of this scarce book. It will be a very useful addition to any collection or library and will be despatched to you well wrapped up. It is sized 10†x 14†All sizes are approximate. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hunter-Hallamshire-S...%3A1|240%3A1318 Not bidding, I've got my own copy I intent to scan this for Christmas. I've got that as well ... just thought somebody with more money than sense might want to own "The Real Thing" (1976 - You to me are everything - singer Chris Amoo (spelling ?) won Crufts with his Afghan hound woofer)
