Lysanderix
I remember thinking that had these cottages been in Dore or in a more prosperous part of the City they would have been preserved and become desirable residences. Sadly, they weren’t ,and like so much else in that part of the world , including Bishops House, they were demolished.😟

Bishops House? only one I know is at Norton Lees! and it is still very much standing, and a great visitor attraction.

(Norwood Hall) It was the Bishops House at one time. https://www.picturesheffield.com/frontend.php?keywords=Ref_No_increment;EQUALS;u06053&pos=7&action=zoom&id=41036
Lysanderix
Thanks, ponytail. We locals always knew it as “ Bishops House”…bulldozed as an act of vandalism by the Council .
