This is just the sort of stuff we need to update our During the War - the blitz thread, peoples memories of the actual event So this guy was 17 at the time (presumably waiting to get his call up papers) and he is now 81, nearly 82 Although we do have a lot of mature, older members I don't think we have got that many that are quite of that vintage. It suddenly made me realise that there are probably very few people still around with first hand memories of this event and it will soon be passing out of living memory.
