Guest Gramps
I was reading a thread recently that I now can't find that introduced the topic of the first town hall and the shops under it. There's a full list of the shopkeepers below, but I was amazed to see that a Gregg was amongst them. I wonder what fast food they were selling in 1637 ? From Harrison's Survey etc. John Buttler Holdeth at Will a Shopp under Sheffeild Towne Hall Wm Skargell holdeth a shopp under Sheffeild Towne Hall Charles Housley holdeth a Shopp under ShefTeild Towne Hall Widdow Eyre holdeth at Will a Shopp under ShefTeild Towne Hall Richard Gregge holdeth at Will a Shopp under ShefTeild Towne Hall Thomas Barton holdeth at Will a Shopp under ShefTeild Towne Hall Richard Colton holdeth at Will a Shopp under Sheffeild Towne Hall Widdowe Elmoore holdeth at Will a shopp under Sheffeild Towne Hall William Hoyland Junior holdeth at Will a Shopp under Sheffeild Towne Hall George Lee holdeth at Will a shopp under Sheffeild Towne Hall Nichalas Stanniforth holdeth a Shopp under Sheffeild Towne Hall
