Guest tsavo
It's the old Lodge Moor Isolation Hospital I think. The wards were all single storey and linked with walkways between them. Matron used to run round on an electric scooter between the wards. You can see the wards and the linking corridors quite clearly but I'm not sure about the white blocks toward the bottom of the picture. Had a very good paraplegic centre as well. This was the site of the USAF jet which crashed after the pilot ejected in the 1950s.
Sheffield History
Also - to the left of that (out of shot you have to drag the picture left) someone told me that there's a P.O.W camp there ?
Guest tsavo
Yes. It's a while since I was up there but think it's the copse to the east on the south side of redmires Rd.
Bayleaf
Also - to the left of that (out of shot you have to drag the picture left) someone told me that there's a P.O.W camp there ? The POW camp is also in the picture. The block of trees to the left side of the picture is the plantation and the pattern is the foundations of huts etc.
