Guest akademik
Until recently there was a topic on this forum entitled (I think) "Spirit Merchants/Dealers, Including Brandy Merchants". I contributed to it, in the course of which I mistyped the initial W- of White as an S-. Now, this topic has been 'locked': I fear, because my typo yielded an objectionable word. If so, I do APOLOGIZE! Anyway. I was contributing to the thread what I had seen on an elevation in Church Street; viz. (all letters are capitals) - a horizontal series saying "1797 - White & Sons - Late - Thomas Aldam - 1797" - over the left hand side door: "The Stone Hous" (the final -e missing) - over the right hand door: "Private Lodgings" Someone then hinted, "Pictures". I'm at least as poor of a photographer as I am a typist(!) , but I'd be happy to do pix; only, I haven't a clue as to how to post these on the forum. Guest akademik
Richard B posts THE pic: I am never going to try and follow that. Let's just hope the moderator doesn't get wind of this and closes the new topic too ... Meanwhile. I do still feel sorry for those members to whom the original "Spirit Merchants/Dealers, Including Brandy Merchants" topic must have been useful. Do I need to try and get "Spirit Merchants/Dealers, Including Brandy Merchants" re-opened? If so, how do I get about that?
