Someone has produced a set of maps based on the Domesday placenames, and in the style of the Bayeux Tapestry. A bit pricey perhaps but must have taken a fair bit of work. I got the info from a very reputable archaeology magazine, and the latest issue is full of letters pointing out they were conned, it's been done twice before apparently!
