Guest JOHNWAYNE Posted July 13, 2008 Share Posted July 13, 2008 A KNIFE IT HAS (W)A PICTURE OF A CROWN AND A ( R) ON BLADE THE JOHN BROWN & CO COLUMBIA WORKS I AM NOT SURE IF IT IS THE JOHN BROWN SHIP BUILDER OR JOHN BROWN RAZOR MAKER I WAS TOLD IT IS VERY VALUBLE BUT YOU KNOW HOW THAT GOES I NEED MORE HISTORY OR SOMEONE WHO COULD POINT ME IN RIGHT DIRECTION THEY TELL ME IT IS DATED BACK IN EARLY 1800S IN SHEFFIELD I HAVE LOOKED ON EVERY WEB SITE I KNOW TO LOOK AND THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP I GOT ON OTHER POST Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RichardB Posted July 14, 2008 Share Posted July 14, 2008 Might sound a bit daft but .... if you have a scanner, try scanning both sides of the knife, it's possible to get much more clear and accurate pictures of the blade and associated marks.
