SteveHB
What year are we talking ? As far as i know the first HOVIS TV add was in .. 1955: 'Don't say Brown, say Hovis' or are you thinking of .. 1973: The Hovis ‘boy and his bike’ advert, , It showed a delivery boy struggling up a hill. Film location, Gold Hill in Shaftesbury. SteveHB
I was thinking more like Lancashire, anyone recocgnise Bill Maynard, who played the baker, later starred in the ITV shows Heartbeat and The Royal. Some more info about the add and the director Ridley Scott can be found at .. Ridley Scott's Hovis advert is voted all-time favourite Steve
