Not wishing to split hairs, but £1Mn spent on paving slabs @ £10 each would get you 100,000 slabs. 100,000 standard size 600mm x 450mm (or 24” x 18” in old money) slabs, laid end to end would stretch 60km (or 37miles in old money), which is the distance between Sheffield and Leeds!
