This is the earlier house which was demolished shortly after 1777 (see the notes) There is a correction to Note vi - Russian bath should read Roman bath. As a lad in the 1950's my favourite bike ride was from where I lived at Page Hall over the hill to "The wood bottom" and up the lane past Thundercliffe Grange, at the top turning right to go past Keppels Column ( which I went up a few times - thankfully it was open then) , through Kimberworth and back home via Wincobank.
