Ltd, Exelsa Works, Hoyle Street that manufactured Sugg cricket bats among other sports equipment. The compny was part of the HHB Sugg group that included a chain of retail shops, including Suggs of Pinstone Street which I remember as a boy in the 1950s. Guest tsavo Posted May 17, 2008 Share Posted May 17, 2008 There was a cricket bat maker in Broomhill during the 1950-60s. It's workshop was just at the back of the South Sea Hotel. (Spooner Rd?)
