Here is a shot taken by J R Wrigley on a rainy day in 1973 and a few cars for Dave H to drool over

We can all drool over the unrestricted access to the town centre that motorists enjoyed in those days. That police driver trying to cross from Bank street seems to have his eye on the girl in the mini-skirt rather than the traffic. ;-)

Its transit and bus man you want to identify all those cars, although this picture being from 1973 is certainly my era.

I assume that the very prominent statue in the forground is the "mucky duck" as the picture seems to have been taken from the Black Swan (to give it its proper name) public house. The pictures provided by myself and Stuart0742 were both taken from further down Snig Hill so the Black swan is well over to the left of them if it can be seen at all.

The Black Swan, famed for its concert room and the live acts it presented, is now another live music bar called the Boardwalk.
