RichardB
Discounts for Overweight Buyers, as a 19-stone blokie I was impressed, but it's not what it seems .... Any ideas ? Any modern equivalents ?? This was the early 20th Century equivalent of "Buy One, Get One Free", for example offing for sale 3 pounds weight of goods for the price normally charged for 2 pounds weight (rather more than a normal sale) ... therefore "Discounts for Overweight Buyers"
Guest tsavo
There was a shop half way down the Moor in the late 1990s selling books by weight. Got some great bargains there, and a bad back from carrying them home! lol
