Does anyone know where I can find pictures of Aston street in the late 50' early 60's.

My mum was born there and the houses were demolished to make way for the sheffield parkway. I seem to be having trouble finding any pictures anywhere.

Thankyou

My mum left in 1965/66 and lived somewhere in the middle of the street near to the white steps that went up to cricket inn road.

Her mum and dad were called Joan and Ernest Woodward, there was also Andrew, Avril, Carol and Ruth, my mum's name was Vivien.

Thanks for all the pics, some more would be very much appreciated.

Hi there, I remember the Woodward family on Aston Street. I was at St Johns School with Avril and then transfered to Norfolk school ( City Rd ) when we were 11 years old. Carol was the nice looking sister, Ruth was the red head ( no hair just a red head, only joking ) and Andrew I think was number 6 in the family. Apart from Ruth I remember them all being blond's. Our family are the Marshall,s and we lived at the opposite end of Aston Street ( 129 ) the Abbotoir end, and we were all boys ( 5 ).

I see you have some photo's of Aston Street, which I am glad about, as the one's I have are only of number 129.
