Dickdioxide
Dear forum, Local landscape painter William Keeling (1860-1930?) has painting and sketches in the collection of Sheffield Art Galley- how can I see them? "Ask them!"I heard you chorus! I did. ".... here, have a look at this 1980 catalogue....." said the man. " It's a bit old isn't it?" said I. "We've not acquired anything since " was the reply. "OK , now how can I see them?" I said expectantly. "You can't" I heard unexpectedly. "But..." "They don't usually....too busy.... Kelham Island... flooded..soon....perhaps..Don't know...Don't know...Don't know...Don't know..." very effectively ending the consultation. Does anybody know any know a way of unlocking the secrets of the Art Gallery? Any art historians out there? I have his genealogy and addresses. TIA RB
