RichardB Posted December 4, 2007 Share Posted December 4, 2007 Sept 27. 1779 The Rein Deer, top of Waingate (hotel, 1826); Mr. Godfrey Fox purchased of Mr. Barlow the old public house and blacksmith's shop, and on the ground whereon they stood, built the Rein Deer Tavern.
