At 14..00 hrs on 10th November 2023 a plaque will be dedicated to the four Sheffield Pridmore Brothers at Sheffield Station…..all were killed on active service during the Great War.

Three were members of the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. The eldest ,aged 37 ,was killed on 14/10/14……another brother 4 days later and the youngest who, after receiving a Commission ,transferred to the Prince of Wales Regiment and was killed just a month before the Armistice. One brother served in the Yorks and Lancs Regiment and was killed in 1917.

Not all of those who served during that conflict were young….as witness the age of the first brother!
