Heartshome
Early 1960s, the Garage up from our school was an ESSO. Don't know how we children got to know! but seemed like the whole lot of us over a few weeks, ended up going to the Garage after school, and getting a little ESSO MAN plastic KEYRING. He was in a white overall with Esso on the front, and a yellow smiley head shaped like a drop of oil. It was on a small chain. Cute! Around the same time, they had 2 styles of the ESSO TIGER keyrings, from the adverts of 'Put a tiger in your tank'.

Unitedite Returns
Amazing stuff! "She asked me how I knew, it was Esso Blue", "I, of course replied", "With lower grades one buys", "Smoke gets in your eyes". Of course, that's about paraffin. Advertisement was much better in those days.
