An interesting place to visit for a day out, is the:-

TROLLEY BUS MUSEUM, Belton Road, at Sandtoft, Doncaster. DN8 5SX.

An extra special time to go is :-

SAT 16th Sept or SUN 17th Sept, as that is their 1940s WEEKEND.

There will be Entertainment, Re-enactors, Stalls etc:-

as well as the onsite Cafe. Museum Shop. Pre-fab Home. Replica Cycle Shop Museum. 

Toy Museum and the Trolley Buses.    OPEN 10.30am  till  4.30pm

                                                                                                                    Should be a really good event for everyone!!

by the :-

              EAST YORKSHIRE THOROUGHBRED CAR CLUB

                                                                                             sounds fascinating! 

Hope you can get over to visit and support the Museum!

Hi all. It was a bit of a cloudy day, but it didn't stop folks attending the event.

The line of Trolley Buses giving rides. never stopped from opening to the close.

Fascinating watching the metal pick-ups on top of the buses zipping round on

the overhead wires, and being electric they were real quiet to. Good few people

in 40s costume and uniforms, and the ladies singing were brill. Think I spotted

Mr Churchill walking round!  A good day!
