Jen13 Posted April 27, 2023 Share Posted April 27, 2023 I'm trying to research an old house (not in Sheffield) and wondered if anyone has done this and could offer me some advice as to where to start. I've read (on a family tree) that the house was bought in 1687 for £300, but it seems such a lot of money to me as the house isn't very big. I can't ask the present owners as I'm doing it as a gift.
