Will Banks Posted March 6, 2023 Share Posted March 6, 2023 I'm trying to find anyone who has any information about the murders in the East House pub on Spital Hill on New Year's Day 1960 - or even better anyone who has some sort of a connection to the incident. I'm hoping to make a radio programme about the events of that night as PC Gilbert Robertson who was first on the scene was my Grandpa. Grateful for any help! The murders excuse was he wanted to die but because of his religion he was forbidden to take his own life, thus hoping he would be honoured with a death sentence, or so the story goes.
