The Sheffield Penny Farthing. 

Seeing the Anderton advertisement prompted a memory of a conversation a number of years ago about the "Sheffielder" The outcome of which has long since faded from my memory.

Anderton, Frederick Herbert (Chas) h. 43 Copper St. 

What was a "Spider" bicycle. Bicycle with spokes perhaps?

Postman with his Penny farthing. It would be a brave postman to deliver riding one of these around Sheffield.
