Spencer and Atherton, manufacturers of powder flasks, dram bottles, fishing rod hoops etc., 49 Carver Street.

Mr Joseph Cocker of the Spencer, Cocker and Atherton partnership baled out just prior to the 1862 advert.  Frederick Spencer went bust in May 1864 and all his powder flask and dram bottle working tools were sold. John Atherton went back to making powder flasks on his own.
