George Mills, born Leeds 3rd October 1820, leather dresser, preacher and Councillor.

Buried 7th September 1865 Sheffield General Cemetery.

When I was researching the basics to add to the advertisement I felt compelled to come back and dig a little deeper. Already posted that probate of his will was for sale on line and thought I'd post a request for help in finding an obituary or anything about him or his business.

The Memorials of Councillor George Mills kept coming up on my search. Could it be? Amazingly the book had been downloaded some years ago onto Sheffield History Website. Thanks RichardB... If you hang on to stuff, and are prepared to wait long enough things and in this case, older posts do have their uses.

It contains his life story, a very religious, kind, hard working very popular man.
