Thank you Geoffrey Tweedale for this information, so many file manufacturing families named "Peace" who seem to be linked.

Roots back to 17th century in Derbyshire. By 1830's one branch had formed Charles and Samuel Peace & Co. at Eagle Works. With a marriage became Ibbotson, Peace & Co. followed by Peaces, Spafford & Co. by 1860 W K & C Peace, partners  brothers William Kirkby and Charles jun and finally became part of Sheffield Steel Products Ltd.
