Lysanderix
Like very much else in Sheffield’s manufactury the odds are that they merchanted many products they purported to make. As recently as the 1960s Arthur Balfour were selling no end of steel wires, large forgings, rubberised magnetic strips as if they were produced by themselves. They almost cornered the Hong Kong market for piano wire( for cheap torch springs) All of which was made by Bruntons of Musselborough!
