These articles are from the 1792 Sheffield Public Advertiser, one shows a list of subscribers making donations towards the construction of the Infirmary. 

There's one stand out donator in the list of subscribers, a Mrs Fell, she donated £1000

Can anyone tell me anything about the Fell Family?

Mrs. Fell of Newhall?

"At the time of the survey in the 1950's owners and occupiers: Sheffield Regional Hospital Board Stone built, central portico: two semi-circular bays Good Condition Built 1797 by public subscription, Mrs. Fell of Newhall being the principal donor."

The Fells were a local family whose wealth was derived from an iron foundry. They dated back to the 17th century…were responsible for New Hall and, latterly, were philanthropists
