Ponytail
Members of Sheffield Motor Cycle Club early 1920's The noise this lot would have made on their outings in Derbyshire not to mention the chatter while they had their "snap" (food) Plenty of motorbikes and sidecars to identify for the biker buffs. This is Via Gilla near Matlock. Snap time Opposite Cutthroat Bridge on the road going towards Ladybower Dam Outside Fox House P.H. and is that snow I see, hardy bunch. "Wilkins Levis 4 up" on Mam Tor. 4 on a motorbike and sidecar... No health and safety in the 1920's William Arthur Smith, keen photographer self portrait, Lily Bownes, Sheffield Motor Cycle Club member and young Betty Smith b. 1919 at Cutthroat Bridge, Derbyshire. This piece of furniture was specially made for Betty to sit with her mum in the sidecar. The indent between the legs fitted on a pole in the sidecar to keep it stable. And she perched on it for a number of years. Never mind the uncomfortable bumpy ride, it wouldn't pass any sort of regulations or health and safety. 😂😂🤣🤣 William Arthur Smith and wife Annie and their Norton motorbike. Don't know anything about the model.

Ponytail
William Arthur Smith, wife Annie and Betty. I'm sure she was sitting on her mother's knee and not on the stool for the photograph taken probably 1921/2. Don't know anything about the motorbike. I'm pretty certain it's a Matchless...possibly a Model 7.
