Ponytail
Photocopied from a large plan, pieced together to fit. Making the cardinal sin of not recording where it came from and I'd cut off the actual date (c 18....) Hope you're able to zoom in on the names. Lysanderix
The railway is identified as the MS&LR which changed its name to the Great Central in 1897…so the map predates that event. That said, the map has the feel of being a much more recent reprint. interestingly, the map identifies the names of the works but doesn’t identify the actual owners save that of Firth Ironworks. Edmund
The map was printed in the book " Forging the Valley" 1997 by David Hey, Martin Olive and Martin Liddament. Across the top should be: "Heavy Industry in the East End of Sheffield, c. 1885"
